Diversity

Imago Michigan (IRTM) is committed to building an inclusive community that promotes and values a diversity of practitioners and clients. We are committed to:

  • Diversity. We aim to value and promote individuals of diverse races/ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, religions, and abilities/disabilities within our community.
  • Inclusion. We strive to break down the barriers to --and invite participation for all in-- our workshops, trainings, therapy, and professional community for people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Learning. We strive to continue growing in our understanding of diversity, inclusion, and equity and their impact within our community.

We believe Imago Relationship Therapy to be powerful, relevant, and adaptive across diverse contexts and communities. We are a community and methodology based on relationships, deeply committed to growing and evolving based on continuous collaboration from all of our members, and our theory is deeply enriched by the diversity of the thousands of practitioners and couples who have engaged with it. We now have Certified Imago Relationship Therapists and Imago-practicing couples of diverse races/ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, religions, and abilities/disabilities in at least 52 countries around the world.
